High Holy Day Food Drive: Yom Kippur involves fasting for one day, yet we know that millions of Americans feel this hunger regularly. Every year at this time, the social action committee seeks your generous contributions to fight hunger in our community. We distribute envelopes after services on Rosh Hashanah and collect them on Yom Kippur. Please make the checks payable directly to Second Harvest Foodbank and return the checks on Yom Kippur or send them to the Temple office. -

A holiday meal is beyond the means of those who struggle to buy weekly groceries. Every year before Thanksgiving, the Goodman Community Center collects food to help 3,500 families enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. TBE’s Jewish educational program participates in a friendly grade-level competitionto see which grade level can collect the most food. We collect canned fruits and vegetables, cranberry sauce, broth, boxes of mac and cheese, boxes of stuffing, and aluminum roaster pans. Collection bins are in the coatroom. The grade that brings the most of their item will be presented with a certificate for a tree planted in Israel. -

Join us for fun, food, and facts at Temple Beth El’s Trivia Night as we compete for great prizes. Get your friends, family, and the smartest people you know to join your team for a fast-paced game run by a professional trivia night company. Bring your children from college, your neighbor who watches Jeopardy!, or your coworker who is always telling you useless trivia at work (it may not be useless for your team!). Everyone is welcome. We will also offer a youth trivia night for kids in 3rd grade and up, so they can join the fun and test their memories. The evening begins with schmoozing at 5:45 pm, giving you a chance to check out the competition and enjoy food and beverages. The trivia contest will begin at 6:30 pm, with a winning team chosen by 8:30 pm. Ticket prices are $25 per person in advance and $30 per person at the door for adults, or $15 in advance and $20 at the door for youth (3rd grade and up). You can create a team of eight in advance or join a team that night. -
