Help Spread Joy to Clients of Nehemiah and FOSTER This Holiday Season

This holiday season, join us in a meaningful mitzvah by helping provide gifts for children and adults who might not otherwise receive anything. We are collecting thoughtful items that fit in shoeboxes for individuals served by Nehemiah and FOSTER, two incredible organizations that support those in need in our community.

🧡 How It Works:

  • Grab an empty shoebox from Temple (available in the coatroom and on a cart in the Weinstein Community Court) — or feel free to use your own box.
  • Fill the box with new, unused items from the suggested lists below.
  • Label your box with the intended age and gender, if appropriate, using a sticky note.
  • Return your filled box (wrapped or unwrapped) to the Weinstein Community Court at Temple by December 7, 2025.

👉 This is a wonderful opportunity to get kids involved — have them help shop, choose, and pack the items into the box(es) to experience the joy of giving firsthand!

  • Scarf (stylish or warm)

🧒 For Children:

  • Warm socks
  • Lotion
  • Shampoo
  • Card games or puzzles
  • Coloring or activity books
  • Crayons or markers
  • Toys (small and new)
  • Small stuffed animal
  • Candy or gum
  • Winter hat or mittens
  • Pocket tissues
  • Chapstick
