Tu Bishvat Lunch and Learn with Rabbi Prosnit

Thursday, February 13, 2025 15 Sh'vat 5785

11:45 AM - 2:00 PMWeinstein Community Court and UW Arboretum

Tu Bishvat, known as the "New Year for Trees," is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the importance of nature and marks the beginning of the agricultural cycle for planting trees in Israel. Traditionally, it is observed by eating fruits, particularly those associated with the Land of Israel, such as figs, dates, and pomegranates.  While it's still deep winter in Wisconsin, we will delight in the opportunity to celebrate this festival together.

Join Rabbi Jon Prosnit for a Tu Bishvat bring-your-own lunch and learn at Temple Beth El, followed by a guided outdoor walking tour of the University of Wisconsin Arboretum.

Thank you to Men's Club for expanding their ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) programming in February to invite the community. ROMEO regular lunches will resume in March.
