What Was a Nice Jewish Girl from Madison Doing at Homeland Security? (Sisterhood Kallah)

The 2022 Sisterhood Kallah will feature Sue Milan Reingold. Sue will share her journey of growing up at Temple Beth El in Madison, going to the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Hebrew and Russian, and ending up in Washington, DC, working for the Department of Homeland Security. Sue worked with classified information and assisted Tom Ridge with the newly created Homeland Security department after 9/11. For her master’s degree, one of her teachers was Madeleine Albright. Sue recently retired from a highly classified job, but she will discuss her training and being Jewish and how she had to devise ways to protect Jewish targets in the US.
