Men's Club Shabbat, with music of Salamone Rossi: "In the second half of our life, we yearn for wholeness"

Friday, March 9, 2018 • 22 Adar 5778

7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The Men's Club and the Temple Beth El choir offer a Friday evening service about the joys and challenges of aging, featuring beautiful liturgical music by Renaissance-era composer Salamone Rossi.

Aging is a challenging time of life, yet we can achieve wholeness by careful consideration and acceptance of the aging process. This renewal of life, even in later years, must be carefully learned and practiced, and the worship service will allude to these themes. Salamone Rossi, a Renaissance-era Jew of Italy, wrote special liturgical music that survives until today, and our choir will offer a number of special pieces from his sacred service.
