Men's Club Shabbat, with music of Salamone Rossi: "In the second half of our life, we yearn for wholeness"

7:30 PM - 9:00 PMThe Men's Club and the Temple Beth El choir offer a Friday evening service about the joys and challenges of aging, featuring beautiful liturgical music by Renaissance-era composer Salamone Rossi.
Aging is a challenging time of life, yet we can achieve wholeness by careful consideration and acceptance of the aging process. This renewal of life, even in later years, must be carefully learned and practiced, and the worship service will allude to these themes. Salamone Rossi, a Renaissance-era Jew of Italy, wrote special liturgical music that survives until today, and our choir will offer a number of special pieces from his sacred service.

Healing House provides respite care to persons experiencing homelessness who are recuperating from surgery, illness, or childbirth. TBE and other congregation volunteers cook meals for the residents and staff on a quarterly basis and drop them off at 5:00 pm each day at Healing House, 303 Lathrop St., Madison, WI 53726.
