7th Night Community Passover Seder

Friday, April 18, 2025 20 Nisan 5785

6:00 PM - 8:00 PMSwarsensky Social Hall

Join Rabbi Jon Prosnit and Cantor Jacob Niemi for a community seder on the seventh night of Passover using the Temple Beth El Haggadah.

At this family-friendly seder, we will share reflections, ask questions, sing, and delight in our festival of freedom. Enjoy a festive seder and a delicious meal without having to cook, clean up, or remember where you hid the afikomen.

The seder meal will include an appetizer platter, herb-roasted chicken with lemon-rosemary sauce or quinoa stuffed peppers with lemon-rosemary sauce, roasted baby red potatoes, roasted vegetables, and dessert, as well as all the seder ritual items and foods.

Members: Adult (age 13+) $70, Youth (age 5–12) $36, Tots (age 2–4) $18, Infant (age 0–2) free

Nonmembers: Adult (age 13+) $80, Youth (age 5–12) $50, Tots (age 2–4) $24, Infant (age 0–2) free

Why have a seder on the seventh night? We were inspired by these thoughts from Ben Dreyfus, which appeared on ReformJudaism.org: “Maybe Reform Jews should consider introducing a new tradition: holding the ‘second seder’ on the seventh night [a date that all Jewish movements consider a holiday]. … Spacing out the seders provides more time to breathe in between, and creates something climactic to look forward to at the end of the week (besides pizza). …  The second seder … could focus on the story that our tradition associates with the seventh day of Pesach: the Israelites' crossing of the sea, accompanied by song and dance.”

We hope you will be with us for a joyful evening. Please register below by April 11.

Please also join us for Community Shabbat and Passover Festival Worship with Yizkor (Memorial Service) on Saturday, April 19 at 10:30 am.
