Jewish Social Services of Madison’s Fall 2022 Jewish Grief Support Group is open for registration. 

WHERE: Temple Beth El, Madison (following COVID protocols)  

WHEN: Thursdays, 4:30 - 5 PM, Sep. 29, Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27, Nov 3, 10, 17 

Facilitated by Rabbi Renée Bauer and Nancy Feingold, MSSW 

The loss of a loved one is both a universal human experience and a deeply personal one. People experience grief on many levels: physical, psychological, and spiritual, as well as emotional. 

This 8-week group will support those on the journey of grieving with tools from the Jewish tradition. All are welcome, no matter how long ago you lost your loved one.

$54.00 fee* (includes professional facilitation, binder of readings, and book) * No one will be turned away for inability to pay. Simply pay what you can, or make a note on the registration form that you are requesting a fee waiver due to financial hardship). 

Fee includes a copy of Mishkan Aveilut: Where Grief Resides, a book of readings, poems, and meditations edited by Rabbi Eric Weiss of the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Healing Center. 

JSS staff will contact you in early September with final meeting details and up-to-date COVID protocols.
