Winter Root Vegetables Shopping List

  • 1 medium butternut squash
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 large baking potato
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1.5 lbs brussels sprouts
  • 3 bulbs of garlic
  • 1 large red onion
  • 6 T olive oil
  • 2 tsp non-salt, non-MSG food seasoning (Mrs. Dash, etc.)
  • Black pepper
  • 2 T sea salt
  • Parchment paper or cooking spray for pans

 

Venetian Charoset Shopping List

  • ⅓ cup pine nuts
  • 1-⅓ cups pitted, chopped dates
  • ⅓ cup walnuts (pan-toasted)
  • 1 T orange juice
  • ⅓ cup chopped almonds (pan-toasted)
  • 2 pears
  • 2 apples
  • 2 t. Honey
  • 2 T sweet red wine

Ashkenazi Charoset Shopping List

  • 3 apples
  • ½ cup walnuts (pan-toasted)
  • 2 T sweet red wine
  • 2 t honey

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter
  • 11 oz semi-sweet chocolate, divided
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 4-½ teaspoons vanilla, divided
  • Chocolate curls or shavings
  • 2 cups whipping cream, divided
  • 6 eggs
  • 11 oz. cream cheese
  • 1-½ cups matzah meal
