Every year at this time, the social action committee seeks your generous contributions to fight hunger in our community. A holiday meal is beyond the means of those who struggle to buy weekly groceries. Every year before Thanksgiving, the Goodman Community Center collects food to help 3,500 families enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal with their loved ones. TBE’s Jewish educational program participates in a friendly grade-level competitionto see which grade level can collect the most food. We collect canned fruits and vegetables, cranberry sauce, broth, boxes of mac and cheese, boxes of stuffing, and aluminum roaster pans. Collection bins are in the coatroom. The grade that brings the most of their item will be presented with a certificate for a tree planted in Israel. -
