Community Knesset 2025

Leaders of our community, including the Board of Trustees, committee and task force chairs, and their staff liaisons, are invited to participate in the annual Community Knesset. This year's Knesset will be different. 

At this year's Knesset we will discuss and work on issues that affect our committees and the community BEFORE programming events. We will work on three main areas:

  • We will hear from Roger Wolkoff on the task force he has been asked to lead to help us better define the mission of our committees and increase membership on those committees. This is a time that Roger and his task force can get information and feedback from TBE leadership
  • Many committees and auxiliaries are struggling with finding new, younger leadership. As the leaders of TBE we will spend time discussing the ways we have engaged younger leadership for recent events and how to build on that. 
  • The success of our membership is based on the relationships we have with our current and future members. We will discuss ways our committees can help build relationships without planning more events.


Our exercises and discussion about building relationships will be based on the work of Dr. Ron Wolfson and his book  "Relational Judaism". If you have time please check out one of the many resources about Dr. Wolfson and his work on relational Judaism. Here are a couple:

The hope is that you take what you learn back to your committees and, in this new lens, talk about the initiatives and programs for 2025. I will send out information about gathering dates for FY 2026 (starting in July 2025) after the Knesset to give committees time to discuss and plan.
