Take a road trip to Chicago with TBE! Board the bus for an exciting day at the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival and the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. Share dinner with friends new and old at a restaurant before returning to Madison in the evening.

The Greater Chicago Jewish Festival is the longest running Jewish Festival in America! The event intertwines sounds, sights and tastes of Jewish culture and celebrates Jewish identity. It features four stages of music and dance (with local and well-known Jewish performers), a juried art fair, kosher food fair, children's activities, and booths for over 100 Jewish organizations. TBE bus trip participants can choose to stay at the Festival from our arrival (~11am) until about 4:45 pm, or leave the park at 1:00 pm to travel to the Illinois Holocaust Museum. There will be a private museum tour at 1:30 pm (including the interactive 3D hologram experience), followed by the opportunity to explore the museum's special exhibits until 5:00 pm. The main special exhibit that day will be "Speak Truth to Power", which highlights the experiences of courageous Upstanders from across the world and urges action against Human Rights violations. Tickets include coach bus trip, festival entrance fee, museum exhibits and group tour, and continental breakfast. $55 for adults, $45 for kids (12 and under). REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 29!

If you want to drive and meet us there, tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids.
Schedule:
7:30–8:00 am: Continental breakfast available in the Weinstein Community Court at TBE (with to-go containers for the bus ride)
8:00 am: Bus departure for Chicago
Around 11:00 am: Arrival at Greater Chicago Jewish Festival
1:00 pm: Optional: Depart festival for visit to Illinois Holocaust Museum
4:45 pm: Bus pickup for people who stayed at the festival
5:00 pm: Bus pickup at the museum
5:15 pm: Dinner (pay your own way) at a local restaurant
Around 6:30 pm: Bus departs for Madison
Around 9:00 pm: Arrival at TBE
