B'nai Mitzvah Family Orientation

11:45 AM - 1:45 PMSanctuary, Swarsensky Social HallStudents who will become b'nai mitzvah between August 2024 and July 2025 are invited with their parents/guardians to this special orientation session in advance of formal b'nai mitzvah preparation. Don't miss the chance to come together to discuss the meaning and significance of b’nai mitzvah for both students and families.
We will review the b’nai mitzvah handbook, important forms, and the timeline. We will explore exactly where each student's Torah portion is located in the Torah scroll and will be available to answer your questions and suggest ways to make your experience spiritual and special. Lastly, your child will receive their very own siddur (prayer book) and Torah/Haftarah parashah (weekly Torah portion) book.

Healing House provides respite care to persons experiencing homelessness who are recuperating from surgery, illness, or childbirth. TBE and other congregation volunteers cook meals for the residents and staff on a quarterly basis and drop them off at 5:00 pm each day at Healing House, 303 Lathrop St., Madison, WI 53726. Our team has signed up to provide meals the week of May 12–18. Menu items (not specific recipes) will be assigned to you by Ruth Frawley, our dinner coordinator, the week before.
