6:00 PM - 7:30 PMSanctuaryIt's been 16 months since October 7, and even though Israel is not front-page news every day, we know there are still hostages in captivity and a brutal war in Gaza. Furthermore, the changing landscape in Washington and the wider Middle East have many of us on edge.
This pre-Shabbat gathering is designed as a safe and open opportunity to express fears, hopes, and questions about Israel and our connection. We'll also have a chance to learn about our role as a synagogue in the upcoming World Zionist Congress (WZC) election. Learn more about the WZC election.

Healing House provides respite care to persons experiencing homelessness who are recuperating from surgery, illness, or childbirth. TBE and other congregation volunteers cook meals for the residents and staff on a quarterly basis and drop them off at 5:00 pm each day at Healing House, 303 Lathrop St., Madison, WI 53726. Our team has signed up to provide meals the week of Feb 9 - Feb 15. Menu items (not specific recipes) will be assigned to you by Ruth Frawley, our dinner coordinator, the week before.
