Tuesday, February 21, 2023 30 Sh'vat 5783

6:15 PM - 7:15 PMBeth Israel Center, 1406 Mound Street

Shmirah is a sacred obligation that lies before us in our Jewish community, the mitzvah of standing by a deceased individual between the time of death and their funeral. If you are interested in learning more about this mitzvah and how we engage in it, you are invited to a special conversation about it at Beth Israel Center. Rabbis Renee Bauer of Jewish Social Services and Betsy Forester of Beth Israel Center will facilitate this gathering about the mitzvah and the logistics of participating. If you want to just learn more and ask questions, feel free to join! RSVP to Rabbi Renee Bauer (rabbi@jssmadison.org or 608-424-4033).
