We offer exciting opportunities for our students and families to participate in youth groups and events. We believe participating in social activities, social justice and worship programming with other Jews is the best way to keep our kids engaged and invested in their Judaism and to help improve our world.

MaTTY (9th–12th grade)

MaTTY stands for “Mad-Town Temple Youth.” MaTTY offers teens at Temple Beth El the opportunity to explore and live Reform Judaism, develop leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships. These three pillars guide the goals, priorities, and activities of the youth group. MaTTY is affiliated with NFTY, the Reform Jewish youth movement. MaTTY has a teen leadership board that plans, promotes, and leads all MaTTY programs. The MaTTY board meets monthly and typically holds one MaTTY program or event per month (either a NFTY Kallah retreat or a local event). All high school members of Temple Beth El are considered members of MaTTY. Contact Alex Kushner at matty@tbemadison.org for more information.

MuTTY (6th–8th grade)

MuTTY brings Jewish 6th–8th graders together to build relationships, create fun and relaxed Jewish spaces, and build energy and excitement for middle schoolers to become Jewish leaders in high school. MuTTY typically has one event per month. Contact mutty@tbemadison.org for more information.

JEWniors (3rd–5th grade)

JEWniors is our social group for 3rd–5th graders. Contact jewniors@tbemadison.org for more information.
