Welcome the Stranger-Congregational Meeting for Immigrant Justice

Please join the Urgency of Now Immigration Action team to learn about the issues and critical challenges facing immigrants in Dane County. These are dangerous times for immigrants, and it is our responsibility as Jews and allies to "welcome the stranger" and provide support, service, and advocacy to those who are most vulnerable. Rabbi Bonnie Margulis, President of the Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice; Matthew Gillhouse, an immigration attorney and Sergio Gonzalez, a community activist will help us understand the scope of the problem and the local opportunities available to us as a congregation to provide much needed assistance, including involvement in the Dane Sanctuary Coalition.

Together we can identify the strategies for Temple Beth El to pursue in order to support our vulnerable neighbors and protect them from deportation. Even if you have been to other similar presentations at TBE or elsewhere, this is your chance to have your questions answered, voice your opinions, and help chart TBE's unique course.
