Still, this question remains for many: How can prayer influence the modern worshiper who believes less in a god and more in the power of humanity to affect change in the world? How do prayers of submission and supplication move the worshiper to look at the world in different ways, with perhaps endless possibilities? What is the effect of the community upon the worshiper?
This three-session course, led by Rabbi Emeritus Jonathan Biatch, will delve into ways that prayer can move us today to appreciate both how our ancients understood prayer, and how we might also be improved by worship today.
