Interfaith March for Peace and Justice

Sunday, April 29, 2018 14 Iyar 5778

3:15 PM - 5:45 PM Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld St., Madison, WI 53713

The Interfaith March for Peace and Justice is a nationwide event to celebrate diversity and lift up the unity of our faith communities, as we affirm religious freedom and condemn all acts of violence and harassment against people based on race, color, beliefs, or place of origin.

The march in Madison has been planned by Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice and is cosponsored by Temple Beth El and many other organizations and congregations.

The march will start at the Catholic Multicultural Center at 1862 Beld St., Madison, WI 53713. We will gather at 3:15 pm for a 3:30 pm kickoff. Rabbi Jonathan Biatch, Rev. David Hart of the Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church, and Dr. Ibrahim Saeed from the Islamic Center of Madison will send us off with prayers celebrating our diversity and lifting up our unity. The march will take us to Centro Hispano, to the Boys and Girls Club, and back to the Catholic Multicultural Center at 4:15 for food, music, words of inspiration, and conversation.
