Community Passover Festival Worship with Yizkor (Memorial Service)

10:30 AM - 12:30 PMSanctuaryThe TBE clergy will lead our worship as we mark the seventh day of Passover. The central theme of Passover is liberation — a theme evoked on many levels in our observance. At this service, clergy will read the names of TBE members lost to our community in the past year. Those present at the service will also be given a moment to say aloud the names of others remembered.

Gil Hoffman is the executive director of HonestReporting, which fights for Israel in the international mainstream and on social media. He is a lecturer on political strategy at Israel's College of Management, and served for 24 years as chief political correspondent and analyst for The Jerusalem Post, where he is now a regular columnist. The Algemeiner website recently named him one of the top 100 people positively influencing Jewish life, alongside presidents, prime ministers, and Jewish leaders. He was raised in Chicago, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University's School of Journalism, and served in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. He's lectured in all major English-speaking countries, in more than half of the Canadian provinces, and recently made history in Hawaii by becoming the first Israeli speaker to have lectured in all 50 states. He lives with his family in Jerusalem. -
